A Small Victory - HERE THERE BE DRAGONS (I used the Google toolbar's Blog This button, so hopefully this worked like it should.)
I started commenting on the above post, but realized all I had to say was taking up a lot of space, so I thought it better to post it on my own blog type thing.
To be honest, I've never really understood the terms 'left' or 'right'. I probably should take the time to sit down and find out what the terms mean, but at the same time, it's kind of evident there's no clear answer.
In regards to the liberal camps, the fear is irrational but there have also been some strange actions by our government that feed the hysteria (the FBI showing up at protestors door out of the blue? - I wish I had taken the time to post my thoughts on that story when it broke on CNN Headline News; does anyone really thinking going to someone's house and asking them 'Are you planning on committing any criminal activities?' is effective??). Still, these missteps are not the crushing of dissent or steps towards rounding up liberals.
In the end, unless something drastic changes my mind, I will be voting for Bush. I just don't have confidence in Kerry's ability to protect our country and while I don't agree with the President on everything, he's the best choice out of the two (yes, I know there are other candidates, but I don't see third parties being taken seriously in the presidential race for quite some time, if ever).
